Meet Mary!

Hi! My name is Mary Och and I am a junior chemistry major at Grove City College. I grew up traveling across the United States. Through these travels I have been able to experience some of the most beautiful nature scenes. Being surrounded by the natural beauty of God’s creation has given me such an appreciation and love for the outdoors.

 Before my time at Grove City College, I had never really considered the importance and complexity of the small insects, but after taking an introduction to apiculture with Dr. Farone, I have become so interested in the life and preservation of pollinators. I am loving this opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and combine my love of science with my love of nature

In addition to being a part of the Grove City Bee Project, I am a part of the Orchesis Dance Company, a member of the Grove City Chapter of the American Chemical Society, and I volunteer at the Grove City Area Pet Rescue.
