Hello, my name is Evan Adam! I am currently a senior majoring in Bio/Health. I grew up in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, only thirty minutes west of Grove City College. After spending twelve years there, my family and I decided to move to Williamsport, and we have loved every bit of the so called "mountainous" part of PA. Ever since I can remember, I have always had a deep interest in animals and biology, whether that be from watching The Blue Planet/Planet Earth all day to going outside and exploring God's magnificent creation. Ultimately, my passion for these has led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
During the summer of 2025, I got the chance to work with Dr. Farone in the bee yard. I was ecstatic at this opportunity because I knew beekeeping was a unique, important, and growing field. During this time, I learned much about honeybees, beekeeping, and what it means to work in an apiary. We performed hive inspections, did honey extractions, checked for diseases, among many other tasks. Currently, I am helping teach and lead the new honeybee research students to help them gain a deeper and more well-rounded understanding of this unique field.
Outside of the bee yard, I am a pre-vet advisor for the PHS and am part of the Tri-Beta honor society. I love spending time with my wife and two cats, playing video games, and hanging out with my friends. I look forward to continuing my beekeeping experience!
