Hi! My name is Agustina Borchichi, I am a new member of the GCC Bee Project Research Team. I

ree

am a junior Biology/Health major with a Spanish minor. I grew up in the Northwest Chicago suburbs, but recently move to Rio Grande Valley in Texas. My interest for science was peaked as a kid by observing the nature that lived around my neighborhood, whether it be deer, ladybugs, toads, or worms. I furthered this study by looking beyond the eye & became interested in cell biology.

I wanted to join the bee research because I have always had a love for nature and God's creation. Through this opportunity, I have had the chance to learn that there are so much more to these pollinators that what I knew before, especially the misunderstood nature of honeybees. I hope to be able to continue discovering more of the life as I continue my studies in Grove City College and post-grad.

Apart from the apirary, I am the president of Spanish Club, along with being a member/photographer in the Gamma Chi Sorority, and PHS. I hope to be able to further study diseases and biology behind immunology before going on to medical school. So excited to part of the team!
